About ANSSA
Mandate and History
The Alliance of Nova Scotia Student Associations (ANSSA) is a non-partisan provincial lobby group representing over 35,000 students at 5 post-secondary institutions across the province of Nova Scotia. ANSSA's mandates focuses exclusively on post-secondary education, and it is committed to a high quality system that is affordable and accessible to every qualified student.
Founded in 2004, ANSSA exists to represent, promote and defend the interests of our member schools, working towards its goal for quality and accessible post-secondary education. ANSSA not only points to existing problems but works to provide sound and realistic solutions to the challenges that confront post-secondary students in Nova Scotia. We approach this end through the development of sound policy and research as well as raising public awareness, and forging of strategic partnerships.
